Normbau Microban offers effective protection against cross-infection

Contact surfaces in healthcare facilities are a prime 'breeding ground' for harmful bacteria, including MRSA, E-Coli, Salmonella and Clostridium Difficile.

Touched hundreds of times a day by staff, visitors and patients alike - and encouraged by the warm environment - bacteria thrives on door handles, grab rails and other tactile surfaces.

In an effect to significantly reduce the incidence of cross-contamination in these areas - augmenting the regular cleaning regime performed by hospital staff - Normbau offers built-in Microban antibacterial protection across a wide selection of its range.

Microban, incorporated into the polymer structure of the nylon during the manufacturing process, significantly reduces the risk of bacterial cross contamination; especially where the product has joint lines and / or is installed in places which are difficult to clean. As the anti-bacterial protection is completely integrated into the Normbau product it can not be rubbed off, will never wear off and therefore remains active for the lifetime of the product.
