Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies designs for manufacture, a range of door closers, exit devices, locks and hardware. This involves the design and testing of products, storing of finished products and packaging materials for dispatch of products.

Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies recognises that its activities will impact on the environment, locally, nationally and globally.

The overall environmental policy of the company is to ensure that we comply with the Ingersoll Rand Global Environmental, Safety and Health Policy, any environmental regulations applying to our activities, and to continually improve our environmental performance.

This will be achieved by the setting of realistic targets for environmental improvement, based on a thorough understanding of the environmental effects of our business and the principle of pollution prevention.

In particular, attention will be given to the following areas of activity:

  • WEEE & RoHS Regulations
  • Packaging Waste
  • Power Usage
  • The Condition Of Our Facilities

Overall responsibility for this policy and the associated management system is that of the General Manager although the ESA Quality Manager has the authority and responsibility for ensuring the continued effectiveness of the management system, independent of the production and commercial parts of the organisation.

The ESA Environmental, Health & Safety Manager has the responsibility for Corporate and Legislative Requirements being communicated throughout the Business.

Responsibility for achieving specific targets is delegated to individual managers to monitor progress against company objectives, which are reviewed at appropriate intervals.

All employees have a responsibility to help us meet our objectives and we will provide necessary information, instruction and training to enable them to do so.

We are committed to operating and continually improving our environmental management system so as to comply with the requirements of BS EN 14001.
